Mumbai-born Jemimah Jessica Rodrigues, aged 25, has established herself as one of India’s most stylish and consistent women cricketers. A right-handed top-order batter and occasional right-arm off-break bowler, Jemimah wears jersey number 5 for the Indian Women’s Cricket Team. She also represents Delhi Capitals (

WPL), Northern Superchargers (The Hundred, England), Melbourne Renegades (WBBL, Australia), and Trailblazers (Women’s T20 Challenge) in domestic and franchise cricket.

Jemimah made her T20I debut at just 17 years old against South Africa on 13 February 2018, scoring a half-century in her very first match. She followed this with her ODI debut against Australia on 12 March 2018. A key player in India’s run to the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final, she also contributed to India’s gold medal victory at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. Recognized for her quick fielding, consistency, and musical talent, Jemimah was named in the ICC Women’s T20 Team of the Year 2018.

Off the field, Jemimah comes from a supportive family in Mumbai. Her father, Ivan Rodrigues, is a former junior cricket coach, and her mother, Lavita Rodrigues, is a teacher. She has two brothers, Enoch and Eli, who also play cricket.

With a blend of elegance, power, and agility, Jemimah Rodrigues continues to be a key figure in India’s women’s cricket, inspiring young athletes nationwide.
